The Environmental Audit Committee reported
to the House on Plastic bags on 6 February 2014 (HC 861). The
Queen's Speech on 4 June announced the Government's proposal to
proceed with a charge on single-use plastic bags from October
2015. Also on 4 June, the Committee received the Government response
to the Committee's Report. This is appended below.
