Secretary Patrick McLoughlin, supported by the Prime Minister, Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary Theresa May, Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, Secretary Sajid Javid, Secretary Greg Clark, Secretary Elizabeth Truss, Secretary Amber Rudd and Mr Robert Goodwill, presented a Bill to make provision for a railway between Euston in London and a junction with the West Coast Main Line at Handsacre in Staffordshire, with a spur from Old Oak Common in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to a junction with the Channel Tunnel Rail Link at York Way in the London Borough of Islington and a spur from Water Orton in Warwickshire to Curzon Street in Birmingham; and for connected purposes.
Bill read the first and second time without Question put, and committed to a select committee (Order, 29 April 2014); and to be printed (Bill 1) with Explanatory Notes (Bill 1–EN).
5 European Union Referendum Bill: Presentation (Standing Order No. 57)
Secretary Philip Hammond, supported by the Prime Minister, Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary David Mundell, Secretary Theresa Villiers, Secretary Stephen Crabb, Mr Oliver Letwin, Mr David Lidington and Mr James Wharton, presented a Bill to make provision for the holding of a referendum in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar on whether the United Kingdom should remain a member of the European Union.
Bill read the first time; to be read a second time on Monday 1 June, and to be printed (Bill 2) with Explanatory Notes (Bill 2–EN).
6 Scotland Bill: Presentation (Standing Order No. 57)
Secretary David Mundell, supported by the Prime Minister, Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary Theresa May, Secretary Michael Gove, Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, Secretary Amber Rudd, Mr Patrick McLoughlin, Secretary Theresa Villiers, Secretary Stephen Crabb, Greg Hands and Damian Hinds, presented a Bill to amend the Scotland Act 1998 and make provision about the functions of the Scottish Ministers; and for connected purposes.
