Motion made and Question proposed, That this House notes the First Report of the Work and Pensions Committee, Universal Credit: the six week wait, HC 336; and calls on the Government to reduce the standard initial wait for a first Universal Credit payment to one month.—(Frank Field.

The Deputy Speaker announced a time limit on backbench speeches (Standing Order No. 47(1)).
