4Ways and Means: Provisional collection of taxes

Motion made and Question put forthwith (Standing Order No. 52(1)(a)), That, pursuant to section 5 of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968, provisional statutory effect shall be given to the following motions:—

(a) Stamp duty reserve tax (listed securities and connected motions) (Motion No. 49);

(b) Tobacco products duty (rates) (Motion No. 57).—(The Chancellor of the Exchequer).

Question agreed to.

5Ways and Means: Income Tax (Charge)

Motion made and Question proposed, That income tax is charged for the tax year 2019-20.

And it is declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution should have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968.—(The Chancellor of the Exchequer.)
