1.This Report considers the re-appointment of Andy Haldane as member of the Monetary Policy Committee. On 10 June 2020 the Bank of England announced1 that Andrew Bailey had reappointed Andy Haldane after consultation with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
2.We took oral evidence from Andy Haldane on Monday 20 July 2020. Andy Haldane has provided a full CV and answered our questionnaire prior to giving oral evidence. We thank him for this evidence.
