Re: Further Submission on Clause 15 of the Draft Disability Bill Cm6126 February 2004

I welcome another chance to be able to comment further on this late draft clause to the Draft Bill, on the Discrimination as it says in the council chamber according to the Department for Work and pensions Press Release on the 27th February 2004.

The Clause is not clear in how it description relating to the possible change as in the title in the Draft bill CM 6126 when you get to the Bill section it says members of the Great London Authority and it only if you look at the Press Release I refer earlier in my submission that you might be a bit clearer.

I would urge and call Government to re drafting this clause and also ask that it refer to employees more as I in a previous life work for a local Authority and had lot of problems around work based schemes and colleagues attitude mostly negative about you can't do all the job so you should not get full money and alack of awareness and I again ask and call on Government and strongly believe the committee should report to Government that both for elected Members and Employees of Local Councils that Disability Awareness training is mantory for all including Disabled People and that refresher courses happen every 2 years.

I hope this helps the Committee
