Joint Committee on the Draft Disability Discrimination Bill Written Evidence

Memorandum from the Greenwich Association of Disabled People (DDB 8)

Greenwich Association of Disabled People is one of the oldest user led organisations in the country. The Organisation has been in operation for 30 years. We are a Centre for Independent living. Our expertise is sought regularly from user led organisations both nationally and internationally. We have a membership of in excess of 300 people, and a mailing list of approximately 2,000.

The following response was agreed unanimously by the Executive Committee of Greenwich Association of Disabled People at the Executive meeting on 2 February 2004.

We are not responding to the consultation, what we want is written in the enclosed "Disabled People's Rights and Freedoms Charter—Our Demands".
