S.I. 2003/2920: memorandum from
the Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Consular Fees (Amendment) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/2920)
1. The Committee raised the following point on the
above Order:
Given that this Order corrects an error in S.I.
2003/1871, have arrangements been made for copies to be made available
free of charge to purchasers of that instrument? If not, why
not? If so, why does this Order not bear an italic headnote to
that effect?
2. HMSO have confirmed that the above Order should
have been made available free of charge. Arrangements have now
been made to ensure that copies of the above Order are distributed
to identifiable recipients of the previous Order. It is intended
to reprint the above Order, with appropriate italic headnote,
to enable this to be done.
3. We would like to take this opportunity to thank
the Committee for drawing this to our attention, and to apologise
profusely for our error.
