The Joint Committee on the draft Bribery
Bill
The Joint Committee on the draft Bribery Bill was
appointed by the House of Commons and the House of Lords on 11
May 2009 to examine the draft Bribery Bill and report to both
Houses by 21 July 2009.

Powers
The Committee has the power to require the submission of written
evidence and documents, to examine witnesses, to meet away from
Westminster, to meet at any time (except when Parliament is prorogued
or dissolved), to appoint specialist advisers, and to make Reports
to the two Houses.
Publication
The Report and evidence of the Joint Committee are published
by The Stationery Office by Order of the two Houses. All publications
of the Joint Committee (including press notices) are on the Internet

Committee staff
The staff of the Joint Committee were drawn from both Houses
