LORDS AMENDMENTS TO COMMONS BILLS
7.172 When any Lords amendments have been considered
by the Commons, the bill is sent back to the Lords:
- with the Lords amendments agreed to, in which
case the bill is ready for Royal Assent; or
- with the Lords amendments amended, or with amendments
in lieu; or
- with the Lords amendments disagreed to, with
reasons for such disagreement;
and communications, similar to those described for
bills originating in the Lords, take place between the two Houses.
