From 24 October 1996, at the beginning of the 1996-97 Parliamentary Session, certain House of Lords publications and information material are for the first time available electronically. The material is put on the Internet by The Stationery Office Ltd under contractual arrangements agreed by the House of Lords in 1996.
Although House of Lords publications remain Parliamentary Copyright, they will be available, free of charge, on the Internet. Individuals are authorised to download text to file or printer for their own personal use.
CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
A limited number of publications are currently available as follows:
TO BECOME AVAILABLE IN 1997
- The latest version of Bills in the House of Lords: some Bills are already available; all current public Bills will be available from May 1997. Proposed amendments to Bills due to be discussed in the Lords will follow in autumn 1997.
- Select Committee Reports, excluding evidence: further Reports will become available, with all Reports being published from May 1997.
- Other House of Lords Papers: by May 1997.
During Session 1997-98 most or all House of Lords publications will be made available in electronic form.
