Earl Attlee: My Lords, I am grateful to the Minister for her reply. I am a little disappointed in her response to the possible means of reducing noise, the role of the CAA and the duplication of approval of the FAA and the CAA. I do not expect the Minister to reply today, but perhaps she will reflect on the issue and come back to us later.

Baroness Hayman: My Lords, I shall be pleased to write to the noble Lord on that matter. However, it is only right that I should reiterate the advice that the CAA is giving at present. It is that safety considerations must be its paramount considerations. I shall certainly write to the noble Lord on that issue.
