1. On 2 December 1997 the House agreed to appoint a Select Committee with the following terms of reference:
“To consider alterations in the ceremony of Introduction and to make recommendations.”
2. The Committee has held its first meeting, and has agreed to invite oral or written evidence from a number of witnesses.
3. The Committee’s selection of witnesses is intended to cover all the main aspects of the terms of reference.
