14.Mental Health (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill [HL]—The report was received.
15.School Standards and Framework Bill—It was moved by the Baroness Blackstone that the bill be now read a second time; after debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
16.Criminal Procedure (Intermediate Diets) (Scotland) Bill—It was moved by the Lord Hardie that the bill be now read a second time; after debate, the motion was agreed to and the Committee was negatived; then, Standing Order 44 having been dispensed with, the bill was read a third time and passed.
17.Institute of Legal Executives Order 1998—It was moved by the Lord Hardie that the draft Order laid before the House on 12th March be approved; the motion was agreed to.
18.Road Traffic (New Drivers) (Northern Ireland) Order 1997—It was moved by the Lord Dubs that the draft Order laid before the House on 11th December 1997 be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
