5.Pesticides Bill—The report was received; an amendment was agreed to; it was ordered that the bill be printed as amended. (HL Bill 129)
6.Fireworks Bill—The report was received.
7.Public Interest Disclosure Bill—The report was received; an amendment was moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
8.Northern Ireland (Sentences) Bill—A bill to make provision about the release on licence of certain persons serving sentences of imprisonment in Northern Ireland was brought from the Commons, read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 128)
9.Road Traffic Reduction (National Targets) Bill—The House resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; the House was resumed and the bill was reported without amendment.
10.Deregulation (Deduction from Pay of Union Subscriptions) Order 1998—It was moved by the Lord Haskel that the draft Order laid before the House on 18th December 1997 be approved; the motion was agreed to.
11.Deregulation (Methylated Spirits Sale by Retail) (Scotland) Order 1998—It was moved by the Baroness Ramsay of Cartvale that the draft Order laid before the House on 18th May be approved; the motion was agreed to.
