To move the following Amendment to the Bill in lieu of the new Clause proposed by the Lords:—
(a)
Page 55, line 21, at end insert the following Clause:—
'Information on administrative arrangements
.—(1) The Secretary of State shall, as soon as is reasonably practicable, ensure that adequate administrative arrangements ("the arrangements") are in place to implement the measures contained in Part VI of this Act ("the Part").
(2) The Secretary of State shall, once the Part takes effect, certify to each House of Parliament that the arrangements are in place and publish information to demonstrate their adequacy.
(3) This information shall include—
(a) the average process times in the determination of initial asylum decisions;
(b) the average process times in the determination of appeals to adjudicators in respect of initial asylum decisions;
(c) the number of applicants and their dependants waiting for an initial asylum decision to be made;
(d) the number of applicants and their dependants waiting for an appeal against an initial asylum decision to be decided; and
(e) any other information that is necessary to demonstrate the adequacy of the arrangements.
(4) Until a resolution of each House of Parliament has directed otherwise, the certification and the publication of information referred to in subsection (2) shall take place at intervals of not more than 60 days.'.
