Clause 7

BY THE BARONESS BYFORD
THE LORD LUKE

     Page 3, line 36, at end insert--

    ("(3)  The function under subsection (1)(a) shall include the establishment of a set of rules ensuring that foods offered for sale carry an unambiguous label including a list of ingredients with their country of origin.")

Clause 14

BY THE EARL OF RADNOR

     Page 7, line 13, leave out ("may") and insert ("shall")

     Page 7, line 14, at end insert (", to include reasonable conformity to rules enforced in those premises described in section 10(2)(a), (b), (c) and (d)")

After Clause 16

BY THE COUNTESS OF MAR

     Insert the following new Clause--

    ("  .  The Secretary of State shall provide for an appeal to a tribunal against any decision of an enforcement authority, or of an authorised officer of such an authority, pursuant to sections 26(2)(e) and (f) of the Food Safety Act 1990.") Appeal to a tribunal.

    ("  .  The Agency shall establish an appeals procedure to provide those aggrieved by any decisions or actions taken by the Agency with a single mechanism for challenging those decisions or actions.") Appeals procedure.
