Further letter from the Home Office|
Thank you for your letter of 7 March. The Government's
responses to the Chairman's questions are set out below.
This point was covered in evidence at the Committee's
meeting on 8 March.
The Government agrees with the view of the Association
of Chief Police Officers that "every premises should be considered
independently for suitability" for extended hours. This
is provided for in the draft Order.
We accept your analysis of local authority responses
to the consultation paper.
Each of the proposals made by local authorities is
addressed in the attached supplementary memorandum.
