Benjafield (Appellant) (On Appeal from the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division))—The appeal of Karl Robert Benjafield was presented and ordered to be prosecuted subject to the procedures applicable thereto (lodged 18th April). 2. Regina v. Benjafield (Appellant) (On Appeal from the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division))—The appeal was set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee. 3. Barclays Bank plc (Respondents) v. Harris and another (AP) (Appellants)—Upon the death of the appellant on 22nd March last, the appeal abated in accordance with Standing Order X. 4. Welsh (FC) (Respondent) v. Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Greenwich (Petitioners)—The respondent’s certificate of public funding was lodged. 5. Appeal Committee—The 47th Report was made; the Appeal Committee reported that they had met and had heard Counsel; the report was agreed to and the following Orders were made— Welsh (FC) (Respondent) v. Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Greenwich (Petitioners)—That leave to appeal be refused; that the petitioners do pay to the respondent the costs of the petition; and that the costs of the respondent be taxed in accordance with the Access to Justice Act 1999, the amount thereof to be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the parties. Durham County Council and others and another (Petitioner) ex parte Huddleston (Respondent)—That leave to appeal be refused; and that the petitioners do pay to the respondent the costs of the petition, the amount thereof to be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the parties. Select Committees—It was moved by the Chairman of Committees that the Lord Roper be appointed a member of the Committee of Selection and the House of Lords’ Offices Committee in the place of the Lord Harris of Greenwich deceased; the motion was agreed to. 9.
