1.Barony of Terrington in the Peerage of the United Kingdom—The Petition of Christopher Woodhouse claiming to have succeeded to the Barony of Terrington in the Peerage of the United Kingdom and praying that the Clerk of the Parliaments might be directed to enter the petitioner as Baron Terrington on his register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5) was presented and was referred to the Lord Chancellor to consider and report upon to the House pursuant to Standing Order 10A.

14.Liaison—It was moved by the Chairman of Committees that the 2nd Report from the Select Committee (HL Paper 67) be agreed to; then, it was moved by the Lord Chalfont, as an amendment thereto, to leave out all the words after “That” and insert “this House rejects the recommendation of the Liaison Committee and appoints a Select Committee of five members to consider the justification for the finding of those reviewing the conclusions of the RAF Board of Inquiry that both pilots of the Chinook helicopter ZD 576 which crashed on the Mull of Kintyre on 2nd June 1994 were negligent”; after debate, the amendment was agreed to (see division list); then the original motion, as amended, was agreed to.
15.Special Educational Needs and Disability Bill [HL]—The bill was returned from the Commons agreed to with a privilege amendment; the amendment was considered and agreed to.
16.Criminal Justice and Police Bill—The House resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were disagreed to (see division lists 2 and 3); an amendment was moved and by (leave of the Committee) withdrawn; the House was resumed.
