| Insert the following new Clause— |
| | "Restriction on the provision of assistance |
| (1) | Assistance under this Act may not be provided to any person or body that finances or assists (either directly or indirectly) the population control, family planning or sexual and reproductive health care activities of any person, body or government which engages in any form of coercion in relation to those said activities. |
| (2) | For the purposes of subsection (1A) above, coercion includes intimidation of a physical, psychological, financial, penal or other kind. |
| (3) | Subsection (1A) above is without prejudice to the exercise of the Secretary of State's discretion to provide assistance to any person or body not specified therein." |
| Page 9, line 2, at end insert— |
| "( ) | The Secretary of State may not appoint a date under subsection (2) until a bill to give effect to the Convention on Combating the Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions is introduced into either House of Parliament." |
