Select Committee on Religious Offences in England and Wales Written Evidence

Submission from Dereham Road Baptist Church

I wish to register protest on behalf of Dereham Road Baptist Church, against the proposed changes to the Law against blasphemy. It is vital the Law is kept in place, as it is now. We do not want to see the holy name of Christ dragged through the mud.

A new offence of incitement to religious hatred is not desired, and we totally disagree with Lord Avebury's ideas. I place this protest before you as a matter of utmost urgency and importance.
