Specialist Adviser
The Sub-Committee appointed as its Specialist Adviser Steve Furber
FRS FREng, ICL Professor of Computer Engineering at the University
of Manchester. Since joining the University in 1990, his particular
research interest has been in asynchronous logic design and power-efficient
computing. Before then, he worked at Acorn Computers where he
was a principal designer of the BBC Microcomputer and the ARM
32-bit RISC microprocessor.
