8. Contracting Out (Local Education Authority Functions) (England) (Amendment) Order 2003It was moved by the Lord Davies of Oldham, on behalf of the Baroness Andrews, that the draft Order laid before the House on 11th July be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
9. Common Fisheries Policy (EUC Report)It was moved by the Earl of Selborne that this House takes note of the Report of the European Union Committee on Progress of Reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (25th Report, HL Paper 109); after debate, the motion was agreed to.
10. Sustainable Energy BillThe House resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; the House was resumed and the bill was reported without amendment; the report was received.
