Judicial Business

2.Belfast City Council (Appellants) v. Miss Behavin’ Limited (Respondents) (Northern Ireland)—The appeal of Belfast City Council was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 24th March.
3.Wallace and another (Respondents) v. Crossley and another (Petitioners) (2006)—The petition of Elizabeth Claire Crossley and Peter John Crossley praying for leave to appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 2nd December).
4.R v. Tekie-Embaye (Petitioner)—The petition of Senait Tekie-Embaye, praying for an extension of time within which the petition may be lodged and for leave to appeal in accordance with the Criminal Appeal Act 1968 was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.

6.Stormont Estate (Northern Ireland) Order 2006—It was moved by the Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton that the draft Order laid before the House on 23rd January be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
7.Northern Ireland Arms Decommissioning Act 1997 (Amnesty Period) Order 2006—It was moved by the Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton that the draft Order laid before the House on 17th January be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
8.Parliament (Participation of Members of the House of Commons) Bill [HL]—It was moved by the Lord Baker of Dorking that the bill be now read a second time; after debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
9.Cattle Compensation (England) Order 2006—It was moved by the Baroness Byford that an Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty praying that the Order, laid before the House on 31st January, be annulled (S.I. 2006/168); after debate, the motion was (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
10.Common Agricultural Policy Single Payment and Support Schemes (Cross-compliance) (England) Regulations 2005—It was moved by the Baroness Byford that an Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty praying that the Regulations, laid before the House on 19th December 2005, be annulled (S.I. 2005/3459); after debate, the motion was (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
11.Tsunami relief—The Lord Naseby asked Her Majesty’s Government what analysis has been undertaken of the results achieved and lessons learned in Sri Lanka and the Maldives from the aid monies donated by private and public sources for Tsunami relief and reconstruction since the disaster on 26th December 2004; after debate, the question was answered by the Baroness Royall of Blaisdon.
