1.Lord Burnett—John Patrick Aubone Burnett, Esquire, having been created Baron Burnett, of Whitchurch in the County of Devon, for life by Letters Patent dated in the afternoon of 31st May 2006, was introduced between the Lord Dholakia and the Lord Kirkwood of Kirkhope, the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod and Garter King of Arms preceding; and took and subscribed the oath pursuant to statute (see Appendix 1).
2.Lord Trimble—The Right Honourable William David Trimble, having been created Baron Trimble, of Lisnagarvey in the County of Antrim, for life by Letters Patent dated in the forenoon of 2nd June 2006, was introduced between the Lord Rogan and the Lord Steinberg, the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod and Garter King of Arms preceding; and took and subscribed the oath pursuant to statute (see Appendix 2).

10.Government of Wales Bill—The House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; an amendment was disagreed to (see division list); amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; the House was resumed.
11.Nuclear proliferation—The Baroness Williams of Crosby asked Her Majesty’s Government what steps they have taken to counter the dangers of nuclear proliferation; after debate, the question was answered by the Baroness Royall of Blaisdon.
12.Government of Wales Bill—The House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; amendments were agreed to; the House was resumed and the bill was reported with amendments; it was ordered that the bill be printed as amended.
