1. Farag (Petitioner) v. Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (Respondent)The petition of Tarek Farag praying for leave to appeal was presented without payment of the fee, such fee having been waived by the Appeal Committee pursuant to Standing Order XIII; the said petition was referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 5th May).
2. Fornah (Appellant) v. Secretary of State for the Home Department (Respondent)The petition of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees praying for leave to intervene in the said appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.
3. Appeal CommitteeThe 100th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Order was made
In re G (children)That leave to appeal be given; and that the petition of appeal be lodged by 29th May.

9. Africa: road traffic accidentsThe Lord Harrison asked Her Majestys Government whether in their follow up to the Commission for Africas report they will assess the human and economic cost of road traffic damage, injuries and deaths in developing countries; after debate, the question was answered by the Baroness Royall of Blaisdon.
10. Electoral Administration BillThe bill was further considered on report; amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; amendments were agreed to; it was ordered that the bill be printed as amended. (HL Bill 107)
