The following Report from the Select Committee was made and ordered to be printed:

Public Business

2    Disability: VAT A question was asked by Lord Ashley of Stoke and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

3    Olympic Games 2012: stadium design A question was asked by Lord Naseby and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

4    Inflation A question was asked by Lord Goodlad and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

5    Television: quiz programmes A question was asked by Baroness Oppenheim-Barnes and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

6    International Tribunals (Sierra Leone) Bill [HL] Lord Triesman moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

The House adjourned. The House resumed.

7    Parliament: waging war (Constitution report) Lord Holme of Cheltenham moved that this House takes note of the Report of the Constitution Committee on Waging war: Parliament’s role and responsibility (15th Report, Session 2005-06, HL Paper 236) and the Follow-up Report (3rd Report, HL Paper 51). After debate, the motion was agreed to.

8    Health: specialist nurses A question was asked by Baroness Masham of Ilton and, after debate, answered by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath.

The House adjourned at 9.28pm until Wednesday 2 May at 9.45am for judicial business, 3.00pm for public business.

Judicial Business

1    Simmers (Respondent) v Innes (Appellant) (Scotland) The appeal of James Grigor Innes was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 12 June.

2    Secretary of State for the Home Department (Respondent) v AF (Petitioner) The petition of AF praying for leave for an appeal to be brought direct from the High Court of Justice in accordance with Part II of the Administration of Justice Act 1969 was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 30 April).

3    Appeal Committee The following Order was made pursuant to the 34th Report:

Boss Holdings Limited (Petitioners) v Grosvenor West End Properties and others (Respondents) That leave to appeal be given, and that the petition of appeal be lodged by 15 May.

4    Appeal Committee The 43rd Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Order was made:
