The motion was agreed to. 6 Greater London Authority Bill Lord Grocott, on behalf of Baroness Andrews, moved that the amendments for the Report stage be marshalled and considered in the following order:

After debate, the motion was withdrawn. 8 Multi-cultural Britain (2½-hour debate) Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick moved for papers relating to the characteristics of a multi-cultural Britain in the light of the Parliamentary and anti-slavery legacy of William Wilberforce. After debate, the motion was withdrawn. 9 Counter terrorism Baroness Scotland of Asthal repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons. 10 Monetary Policy (EAC Report) Lord Wakeham moved that this House takes note of the Report of the Economic Affairs Committee on The Current State of Monetary Policy (First Report, HL Paper 14).
