COMMENTS FROM THE ENGINEERING AND PHYSICAL
SCIENCES RESEARCH COUNCIL (EPSRC)
The EPSRC welcomes the consultation for the
Annual Policy Strategy of the Commission of the European Communities.
The themes of energy, climate change and environment
are strongly represented throughout the programmes of EPSRC and
the continued strong support for these initiatives is endorsed.
The EPSRC would endorse initiatives across Member
States to ensure the flow of trained people and knowledge, particularly
to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and results between research
centres and SMEs and businesses.
