During my evidence session on Tuesday 16 January
I undertook to provide a table showing Member States net contributions
as percentage of GNI and a detailed explanation of the mechanics
of the UK's monthly contributions to the EC Budget and the receipts
which the UK receives from that Budget.

The first annex to this letter contains a table
detailing the 2005 net contribution, post abatement, of each Member
State as a percentage of their respective GNI.
The second annex sets out the mechanisms by
which the UK makes its contributions to the EC Budget and the
way in which receipts are dealt with.
