Thank you for your letter of 10 January. You
ask for clarification on Newsquest's policy during an election
and who chooses which party a newspaper will support.
In reality, the majority of our titles are apolitical,
and our policy is to give equal coverage to each of the main parties.
In any case, as with all editorial choices, the decision rests
with the editor.
