Torture (Damages) Bill [HL]

22.  This private member's bill, which makes provision for actions for damages for torture, is in the same terms as that on which the Committee reported in its 7th Report for 2006-07. The only delegated power is that conferred by clause 8 to make a commencement order which, as is customary, is subject to no parliamentary procedure.
