Letter from Mr J A Wheatley
I have read much about this Treaty/Constitution,
and consider its most dangerous aspect for any democracy is The
Self Amending Treaty Clause. Once we have been signed up to it
then any red lines drawn by PM Brown, or anyone else, can and
will be readily cancelled.
For this aspect alone, I believe we must have
a referendum. If the majority of our population either cannot
bother, or do not vote to retain our democracy, then so be it,
they will however at least have the opportunity of saving our
birthright for which so many fought and died in WWI and WWII.
