Draft Gambling (Geographical Distribution
of Large and Small Casino Premises Licences) Order 2008: Government
response
45. Last week, we drew the special attention
of the House to the draft Gambling (Geographical Distribution
of Large and Small Casino Premises Licences) Order 2008[13]
and the Government have now responded by way of a letter to the
Chairman from the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport,
printed at Appendix 5. Like our own Report, the Government response
refers to our Report[14]
on the subject last year and to the Government's response to that
earlier Report[15]: these
documents remain available online[16]
and from the Printed Paper Office. The issue is now one for the
House.
