Budget 2016

2.In his March 2016 Budget, the Chancellor announced further general reform to the planning system. These included a move to ‘zonal’ planning, further changes to local plans, the streamlining of planning conditions and support for increasing the density of development in London.343 The Minister for Housing told us that the detail of these proposals would follow in “the next few months”.344
