Lord Alton of Liverpool to move to resolve that this House believes that Christians, Yazidis, and other ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq and Syria are suffering genocide at the hands of Daesh; and calls upon Her Majesty’s Government to make a referral to the United Nations Security Council with a view to conferring jurisdiction upon the International Criminal Court or a war crimes tribunal, so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice.

Lord Hylton to move to resolve, in the light of the failure of successive negotiations between Israel and Palestine and of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, that this House calls for full international protection for the Occupied Palestinian Territories in order to achieve security for Israel and self-determination for the Palestinians.

Lord Lester of Herne Hill to move to resolve that the draft BBC Royal Charter should be laid before this House for debate, and that the BBC Royal Charter should not be granted until this House has debated on and approved the draft BBC Royal Charter.

Baroness Featherstone to move to resolve, in the light of the United Kingdom’s carbon emission targets under the Climate Change Act 2008 and the growth potential of the United Kingdom’s renewable industries, that this House calls on Her Majesty’s Government to introduce a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking", until the health, environmental and economic concerns about this industry have been fully investigated.

6 National Citizen Service Bill [HL] Lord Ashton of Hyde moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Grand Committee.

7 Airport capacity Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

8 Civil Legal Aid (Merits Criteria) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 Lord Keen of Elie moved that the Regulations laid before the House on 21 July be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

9 Contracts for Difference (Allocation) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 Baroness Neville-Rolfe moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 6 September be approved. The motion was agreed to.
