Lord Alton of Liverpool to move to resolve that this House believes that Christians, Yazidis, and other ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq and Syria are suffering genocide at the hands of Daesh; and calls upon Her Majesty’s Government to make a referral to the United Nations Security Council with a view to conferring jurisdiction upon the International Criminal Court or a war crimes tribunal, so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice.
Lord Hylton to move to resolve, in the light of the failure of successive negotiations between Israel and Palestine and of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, that this House calls for full international protection for the Occupied Palestinian Territories in order to achieve security for Israel and self-determination for the Palestinians.
Lord Lester of Herne Hill to move to resolve that the draft BBC Royal Charter should be laid before this House for debate, and that the BBC Royal Charter should not be granted until this House has debated on and approved the draft BBC Royal Charter.
Baroness Featherstone to move to resolve, in the light of the United Kingdom’s carbon emission targets under the Climate Change Act 2008 and the growth potential of the United Kingdom’s renewable industries, that this House calls on Her Majesty’s Government to introduce a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking", until the health, environmental and economic concerns about this industry have been fully investigated.

Prayers were read by the Lord Bishop of Portsmouth.
1 Retirement The Lord Speaker informed the House of the retirement with effect from 17 January of Lord Mackay of Drumadoon under section 1 of the House of Lords Reform Act 2014.
Public Business
2 Business rates: high street retailers A question was asked by Lord Naseby and answered by Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth.
3 Principle of comparative advantage: bicentenary A question was asked by Viscount Ridley and answered by Baroness Mobarik.
4 Economic forecasts A question was asked by Lord Dobbs, on behalf of Lord Forsyth of Drumlean, and answered by Baroness Neville-Rolfe.
5 Israel: ambassador A question was asked by Baroness Tonge and answered by Baroness Anelay of St Johns.
6 A new partnership with the European Union Lord Bridges of Headley repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
7 Northern Ireland Assembly Election Lord Dunlop repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
8 Neighbourhood Planning Bill Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Grand Committee.
