9 Nursing and Midwifery (Amendment) Order 2017 Lord O’Shaughnessy moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 25 January be approved. Then Lord Hunt of Kings Heath moved, as an amendment to the above motion, at end insert "but that this House regrets that the draft Order abolishes the statutory midwifery committee; and calls on Her Majesty’s Government to ensure that robust arrangements are in place to ensure the continuation of supportive clinical supervision and leadership for midwives." After debate, the amendment was withdrawn and the original motion was agreed to.
