Equivalence in financial services
10.In December 2020 we wrote to HM Treasury (HMT) to ask for an overview of the equivalence decisions taken by the UK Government and the EU in the area of financial services. We published our letter and HMT’s response in our 41st Report in January 2021.5 Having asked for a further update, HMT has provided us with an overview of all equivalence decisions taken by the UK Government and the EU as of 12 April 2021. HMT’s letter and overview are set out at Appendix 1.
