The Scottish Affairs Committee has agreed to the
following Report:—
GOVERNMENT REPLY TO THE SECOND REPORT OF
THE COMMITTEE (SESSION 1997-98) ON THE OPERATION OF MULTI-LAYER
DEMOCRACY
The Committee published its Second Report[1]
of Session 1997-98 on 2 December 1998. The Government's response,
in the form of a letter from the Secretary of State for Scotland
was received on 17 March 1999. It is published without comment,
as an Appendix to this Report.
