Memorandum submitted by Quedgeley Parish
Council (FL 35)
The Quedgeley Parish Council believes that the
following issues should be addressed:
— Regular programmed cleansing of street
gullies and surface water drainage systems does not appear to
take place
— There appears to be no regular programmed
maintenance of watercourses.
— Greater control of building on or
in proximity to flood plains.
— New houses to have more "green"
land.
— New commercial premises to recycle
"grey" water.
— Dredging of main rivers and canals.
— Improved flood protection to water
treatment works, sewage pumping stations and electricity sub-stations.
