12 Serious Crime Bill [HL] Baroness Scotland of Asthal moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
13 Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Waste Management Licensing) (England and Wales) Regulations 2006 Lord Greaves moved that a Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty praying that the Regulations laid before the House on 15 December 2006 be annulled (SI 2006/3315). After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

Judicial Business
1 Beggs (AP) (Respondent) v Scottish Ministers (Appellants) (Scotland) It was moved by Lord Hope of Craighead on behalf of Lord Nicholls of Birkenhead, That the 11th Report of the Appellate Committee be agreed to; the motion was agreed to. It was ordered and adjudged that the appeal be allowed and the Interlocutor of the First Division of the Inner House of the Court of Session in Scotland of 11 March 2005 recalled in so far as it ordered the attendance at the By Order hearing on 15 March 2005 of Mr Tony Cameron, Chief Executive, Scottish Prison Service and Mr Ian D F Gunn, Governor of Her Majesty’s Prison, Peterhead; that the appellants do pay to the respondent his costs in this House, the amount of such costs to be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the parties; and that the costs of the respondent in this House be taxed in accordance with the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986, such costs to include the costs of the hearing and a certificate for two junior counsel and to be assessed on the standard basis. 2 AK (Pakistan) (Petitioner) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (Respondent) The petition of AK praying for leave to appeal was presented without payment of the fee, such fee having been waived by the Appeal Committee pursuant to Standing Order XIII; the said petition was referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 8 December).
3 Phillips and another (suing as administrators of the estate of Christo Michailidis) (Appellants) v Symes and others (Respondents) and others The appeal was set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee (lodged 6 February).
4 R (on the application of Stellato) (FC) (Respondent) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (Appellant) The respondent’s certificate of public funding was lodged.
