7    Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) (Payment of Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 Baroness Morgan of Drefelin moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 22 January be approved. The motion was agreed to.

Lord Rooker, on behalf of Lord McKenzie of Luton, moved that the draft Orders laid before the House on 24 January be approved en bloc. The motion was agreed to.

10    Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (Continuance in force of sections 1 to 9) Order 2007 Baroness Scotland of Asthal moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 1 February be approved. Then Lord Dholakia moved, as an amendment to the original motion, at end to insert “but this House regrets that the Government has not replaced control orders with new measures to strengthen the ability of terror suspects to be prosecuted in court.” After debate, the amendment was disagreed to (see division list). Then the original motion was agreed to.

11    Welfare reform Lord McKenzie of Luton repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

12    Planning-gain Supplement (Preparations) Bill Lord Davies of Oldham moved that the bill be now read a second time. The motion was agreed to and the Committee was negatived.

13    Financial Management and Fraud in the European Union (EUC Report) Lord Radice moved that this House takes note of the Report of the European Union Select Committee on Financial Management and Fraud in the European Union: Perceptions, Facts and Proposals (50th Report, Session 2005-06, HL Paper 270). After debate, the motion was agreed to.
