Prayers were read by the Lord Bishop of Rochester Public Business 1 Corruption Bill [HL] Lord Chidgey moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House. 2 Interception of Communications (Admissibility of Evidence) Bill [HL] Lord Lloyd of Berwick moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House. 3 Piped Music etc. (Hospitals) Bill [HL] Lord Beaumont of Whitley moved that the bill be now read a second time. Judicial Business 1 In re D (a child) Further to the Order of the House of 16 November 2006 (2nd Report Session 2006-07; [2006] UKHL 51) it was ordered that the respondent father do pay or cause to be paid to the appellant mother her costs incurred in the proceedings since 1 August 2005, the amounts thereof, if any, to be paid by the respondent and to be paid out of the Community Legal Service Fund to be determined in accordance with regulations pursuant to section 11 of the Access to Justice Act 1999 (i) by a Costs Judge for those costs incurred in the courts below and (ii) by the Clerk of the Parliaments for those costs incurred in this House; and that the costs of the respondent be taxed in accordance with the Access to Justice Act 1999. 2 Szymanski (Petitioner) v Swayne Johnson and Wight (a firm) (Respondents) The petition of Witold Szymanski praying for leave to appeal notwithstanding that the time limited by Standing Order II has expired was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.
