Prayers were read by the Lord Bishop of Leicester Public Business 1 Asylum seekers: torture victims A question was asked by Lord Hylton and answered by Baroness Scotland of Asthal. 2 Terrorism: inquiries A question was asked by Lord Hamilton of Epsom and answered by Baroness Scotland of Asthal. 3 Roads: Nichols report A question was asked by Lord Berkeley and answered by Lord Bassam of Brighton. 4 Cyclists: Highway Code A question was asked by Lord Haskel and answered by Lord Bassam of Brighton. 5 Business of the House The Lord President (Baroness Amos) moved that the Report of the Science and Technology Committee on Science and Heritage (9th Report, Session 2005-06, HL Paper 256) be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to. 6 Pensions Bill Baroness Morgan of Drefelin, on behalf of Lord McKenzie of Luton, moved that it be an instruction to the Committee of the Whole House to which the Pensions Bill has been committed that they consider the bill in the following order:
The motion was agreed to. 7 Cluster munitions (Balloted debate) Lord Elton moved for papers relating to the proceedings of the Oslo Conference on Cluster Munitions on 22 and 23 February. After debate, the motion was withdrawn. 8 Post Offices Lord Truscott repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons. 9 Olympic Games 2012: heritage and the Arts funding (Balloted debate) Lord Baker of Dorking moved for papers relating to the effect upon heritage and the Arts of the transfer of Lottery funds to the 2012 London Olympic Games. After debate, the motion was withdrawn. 10 Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 Lord Evans of Temple Guiting moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 29 March be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to. 11 Parliamentary Constituencies (England) Order 2007 Lord Evans of Temple Guiting moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 26 February be approved.
