3    Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974: reform A question was asked by Lord Dholakia and answered by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath.

4    Tax credits A question was asked by Lord Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

5    Crossrail Bill The Examiners reported that in the case of certain amendments proposed in the House of Commons Select Committee on the bill, the Standing Orders have not been complied with in respect of the time prescribed by the Standing Orders for the giving of notices and making of deposits in connection with the amendments. The report was referred to the Standing Orders Committee.

6    European Communities (Definition of Treaties) (Partnership and Cooperation Agreement) (Republic of Tajikistan) Order 2007

7    Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007

8    Traffic Management Permit Scheme (England) Regulations 2007

9    Criminal Defence Service (Very High Cost Cases) Regulations 2007

The Lord President (Baroness Ashton of Upholland) moved that the draft instruments be referred to a Grand Committee en bloc. The motion was agreed to.

10    Sustainable Communities Bill The bill was read a third time and passed.

11    UK Borders Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 12. Amendment 17 was disagreed to (see division list 1). The report stage was adjourned.

12    Financial markets Lord Davies of Oldham repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

13    Gambling: sport A question was asked by Lord Faulkner of Worcester and, after debate, answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

The House adjourned. The House resumed.

14    UK Borders Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 18. Amendment 18 was disagreed to (see division list 2). The report stage was adjourned after amendment 31.

15    Greater London Authority Bill The bill was returned from the Commons with certain amendments disagreed to with reasons for such disagreement and the remaining amendments agreed to. It was ordered that the Commons reasons be printed. (HL Bill 103)

16    Further Education and Training Bill [HL] The bill was returned from the Commons with the Commons amendments not insisted on but with amendments proposed in lieu thereof. It was ordered that the Commons amendments be printed. (HL Bill 104)
