We noted your concern over areas of the Framework
Programme proposal relating to security research. I believe that
the Home Secretary will be writing to your committee before the
end of August addressing these and other concerns in this area.
We will endeavour to keep you up to date on
developments on these issues and others relating to the documents
above.
