Public Business

1    Safety Deposit Current Accounts Bill [HL] The Earl of Caithness moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

2    Families: economic inequality The Lord Archbishop of Canterbury moved for papers relating to the impact on the family of economic inequality, credit and indebtedness. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

The House adjourned at 3.03pm until 2.30pm on Monday 28 April.

Judicial Business

1    William Lippe Architects Limited (Respondents) v Innes (Appellant) (Scotland) The petition of the appellant praying that the appeal be withdrawn on the terms agreed between the parties and on condition that the appellant do pay to the respondent any costs incurred in respect of the petition of appeal to this House, such costs to be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the parties (the agents for the respondents consenting thereto) was presented; and it was ordered as prayed.
