Planning and Energy Bill

14.  This private member's bill brought from the Commons has Government support. The Minister has written to the Chairman (the correspondence is printed at Appendix 3) to explain that she intends to propose an amendment to the bill to remedy a drafting deficiency whereby the current bill unintentionally and imperfectly creates a delegated power. If amended in that way, the bill will not delegate legislative power.
